An illuminated check engine light isn’t something you should shrug off. It can represent serious issues and engine codes that need immediate attention.
The check engine light illuminates when your car's internal computer detects issues with the engine or transmission. Examples of possible causes:
Loose gas cap
Faulty oxygen sensor or mass air flow sensor
Faulty wires or coils
Faulty catalytic converter
At Route 111 Express Lube, we offer FREE engine light diagnostics. We connect our OBD scanning tool to retrieve the error codes being produced. We will use the engine codes as a starting point to troubleshoot and then conduct additional diagnostic tests to determine the issue. You are under no obligation to service the vehicle with us.
